Editorial policy

Guides are dated 28 September 2026. They are edited from primary material: VAT Notice 708/6, VENSAV3061, Ofgem, the Energy Networks Association, MCS, Planning Portal, Companies House and public installer pages. Each guide lists the sources it leans on.

Illustrations

Prices, paybacks and yields are sketches so two quotes can be compared. They are not offers. A surveyed scope replaces them. We do not invent installer companies. If a firm is named, the page says what their own site claimed and tells you to confirm the postcode.

Corrections

Company status changes. GivEnergy is the obvious example: trade reporting in April 2026 described GivEnergy Ltd entering administration. That page tells existing owners to check Companies House and their installer, and it is not a legal notice. Send corrections to localbatteryinstallers@gmail.com.
